A Prophetic Call for Kingdom Mothers

Within the first few chapters of Genesis, we discover one of the most important assignments given to the first woman and mother ever created by God, thus setting in motion a spiritual principle that I believe applies to all women: Kingdom mothers are called to be life-givers.

Let’s look at Genesis to explore this idea further:

"Adam named his wife Eve because she would become the mother of all the living.”

Genesis 3:20

The name given to Eve was intentional and spiritual. In Hebrew, the name Eve means “life” or “living.” When Adam named his wife Eve, he chose a name that not only declared her identity as the mother of all living but also identified one of the primary distinctions and abilities of all women: to bring forth life. In fact, women are the only creation capable of bringing forth an eternal being—mankind.

This assignment to reproduce and multiply life was reiterated in Genesis when God commanded both man and woman to:

“Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Genesis 1:28

Kingdom Mothers are World Changers

Women are created to change the world, and one of the primary ways we do this as Kingdom mothers is to bring life into areas where there was no life before. Women, by their God-given nature, are fiercely dedicated to safeguarding the well-being of sons and daughters. This is evidenced by some of the professions that are statistically dominated by women such as nursing, teaching, social work, dietitians, and early childhood education. Each of these vocations speaks to an innate desire found within women to protect and promote life.

This life-giving mandate is not limited to the physical act of giving birth but extends to the spiritual realm as well. As Kingdom mothers, we create life by partnering with Heaven in all matters when it comes to raising world changers. Jesus said that He came to give life more abundant, and one of the primary ways He extends life is through His Body—you and me. We are the conduits of His love on earth, extending life everywhere we go.

 Birthing Destinies

Mothering is not just about birthing children; it's about birthing destinies. Women are not just physical beings giving birth to life in the natural; we are spiritual beings that are anointed to bring forth life in the Spirit. The next time you walk into a grocery store, your work environment, your children’s school, or even into your own kitchen, remember that, just like Eve, you are created and anointed to be a life-giver.

We are so thankful for all of the wonderful women who are powerfully owning their prophetic call as kingdom mother's this Mother's Day!
